Have you ever been to the Brimfield Antique Show? My mom and cousin Rita go almost every year...and whenever my schedule allows I like to join them. Last Friday I took the day off from work and headed home to Western Mass to join them at the biggest flea market I've ever been to.
It's remarkable how bit the market is - and how much stuff you can find. They have gorgeous antique furniture, jewelry, and other various bric-a-brack. I of course focus on the kitchen wares.
Three bucks for this citrus juicer? Not a bad deal!
Brimfield is also a haven to collectors. They have depression glass, fiesta ware, and beautiful and expensive antiques.
And sometimes they just have junk, like toys I had when I was a kid. Its fun to look back nostalgically at some of the stuff.
The one of a kind crafts are also pretty eye-catching. Is this not an amazing bicycle? Don't you wish you had wheels like this? HA
More and more vendors at the antique show are local artisans who make their own products....like these soaps. Rita also bought me a lavender candle that smells as good as L'Occitane, at a fraction of the price!
The vendors line the main road. And although you can find the festival/fair staples of hot dogs, Italian sausages, and fried dough there are also some serious foodie options!
All that walking works up a serious appetite
We were a bit overwhelmed with the crowds, and the options. So we went with an old standby....Greek Gyros!
